And then the marathon has ended. You decide to stop to see where you're standing and you just can't believe how far you've got, but is not as simple as that. You only think about how hard the race was, all the obstacles you faced, how many times you wanted to quit and how tired you feel after all that and the only thing you want right now is to rest and breathe deeply and freely...
Yeah... maybe was hard but in the other hand, you realize that you focused your attention in all those obstacles, in all the pain and frustration you felt when you wanted to quit thinking you weren't strong enough to finish it, that you weren't able to enjoy the nice part of it, the support of the people around you, everybody screaming your name. You were so blinded for all the uggly details that you couldn't appreciate the view of the road, running between all those trees, the birds flying above your head, how warm and calm was the water where you swam, it looked like the waves were flowing whit you...Sounds familiar? Sure it is.

One night while you are lay down on your bed looking to nowhere, thinking about your life, you realize about all the blessings received from the darkest moments or maybe not darkest but you just weren't paying attention enough to see them, and then memories appears...
Dad teaching you about sports and how to fight, your first memories from christmas, your best birthday party, the advices from your grandma, your first friend from childhood, your first school day, your first bike even though you fell many times you loved it when you learned to ride it. Your first cooking lesson with your grandma, the surprise of a new baby coming soon, your frist crush, your first kiss, your first true love... the big and warm hug from mom when someone left you with a broken heart. The loyal friends that were sholder by sholder with you during the bad times... yeah those that never left you even though you asked them to do it and instead of that, they just smiled you and stayed by your side.

Sometimes is not easy to figure it out how we've got until certain point of our lives, but if we made a little review, we could see that we weren't alone. Sometimes we felt like we shouldn't be where we are, some people expect more and some others expect less, but we must embrace the idea that we are where we supposed to, because sometimes life doesn't give us what we want but what we need to be happy, and that should be the main purpose of our lives. We can not know what's next, we can not predict the future... but I just hope we could appreciate the full view in the next rode, because at the end of the day LIFE GOES ON.

  1. Your post is great Evelyn! I loved it. I will make corrections so you can start working on those mistakes. Let me know if you agree with what I did. Remember, the more you write, the better you will become. :)

I would recommend you wait to get more experience to begin your writing with 'and'. :)
